Kankura Masat Social Welfare Society was established in the year 1999 with a motto to develop our community in every aspect. From the inception of our organization we are working on the following –

Education for Child

   Pre-primary and Primary School for under-privileged children - 314 students of neighbouring 10 villages covering 2 Gram Panchayets and 3 blocks).

   Remedial Coaching Centre for teenage group who complete their primary education from our centre - ~202 youth come for coaching.

Empowering Youths

   Computer Education for underprivileged youths of the society.

   Supporting meritorious students by monetary and by giving education material.

   Career counselling and motivation programme for youth.

Sustainable Agriculture

   Mobilising farmers to use bio-fertilizer instead of chemical fertilizer. We have a small organic firm on the roof of our organization premises.

   Various awareness camps and seminars are organised for mobilising the farmers

Mother & Child Health

   Immunization camps and health check up camps are organised regularly across the working areas.

   Health awareness camps

   Currently we run a generic medicine shop with very fair price shop called PMBJK, a project implemented by BPPI

Elderly welfare

   Every year we celebrate Raksha Bandhan and Holi with the elderly people.

   We provide blankets, umbrellas and walking sticks to the lone and frustrated senior citizens.

   Facilitate distribution of health cards for health services and health check up camp also organized for them.

Promoting Culture

   Various cultural activities are organised across the working areas on the notable days to remember the great personalities.

Micro- Insurance

   Providing insurance cover to minor and poor people of our community.

Apart from these, KMSWS works in areas of Livelihood promotion, Waste Management, Promotion of local artisans also.

Our programs have been evaluated for their quality and impact and we have received numerous awards for the last few tears from various reputed organizations like Rotary International, Rotary Clubs and other institute of Govt. of West Bengal and Govt. of India.
